In the words of Joseph Stalin, “A writer is an engineer of the human soul.” Let’s explore his thoughts!

Writing is a unique ability to transform thoughts, ideas or merely opinions into a string of words that are readily understood by the human mind and take root in the human heart. Just like fingerprints, every human being has his own individual train of thoughts and capability to put these thoughts into words to get their message across. Thus it can be safely said, that words are like assets, and not everyone possess the ability to use the right words at the right time.

1)      Knowledge or familiarity with the subject to write about:
A good writer is also an avid reader. A person with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, or possessing a passion about the subject will most definitely have more words to write to express all that he has gathered so far.
2)      Responsiveness and ability to anticipate questions:
Since writing is mostly responsive, that is, it serves as a medium to express a writer’s reaction to certain happenings around him in an individual context. These could be any of the following: social, political or just personal. Thus good writers are responsive and also naturally skeptic, which means they are to anticipate questions that their reader or audience may have. Therefore the content produced by good writers will be close to complete answering all questions that are likely to be asked by the reader.
3)      Focus on clarity and totality:
A good writer is an effective conversationalist. This is only achievable when his message to his audience is complete and possesses logic. The latter when combined with the right flow, and correct grammar, gets the message across with ease and absolute clarity. Thus the most difficult part of writing is organizing one’s ideas in an order, that is rational, and a true masters the art of organization to achieve precision and completeness.
4)      Choice of words:
A writer’s choice of words depict his uniqueness and give him an edge above the rest. It’s his personal selection of terms and expressions, which make his content most meaningful and easiest to understand. In the words of a famous psychologist, it’s not what you say; it’s how you say it.
5)      A good writer is recursive personalizes:
It is very predictable that a writer may be reproducing an idea or message that has been presented before him by a previous writer r school of thought. None the less a good writer is punctual and delivers his work on time.
7)      Passionate and Imaginative:
As a medium of expressing his inner creativity, a good writer ignites the imagination and passion of his readers with his writing.
